Katherin Roe

DMA Instructor

Courses

  • Game Modding

For the past two years Katherine has been teaching Unreal level design and game modding at the Art Institute of California, San Diego. Before teaching at the Art institute, she was a lead artist at Sony Interactive Studios in San Diego working on the first games for the Sony Playstation. Katherine has three published Playstation games under her belt m and managed a team of 12 artists. After leaving Sony, she worked as a 3D medical illustrator, and had her gaming artwork published in Scientific America. She has also lectured at the University of California, Santa Cruz on interactive gaming technology.

"Teaching summer camp is the most fun I have all year. High school students are so enthusiastic, it's great to watch them create new worlds."

Currently Katherine is working as an independent contractor. When not at her computer she's teaching her dog Party to find her keys and
playing fetch.
