Courses
- Web Design with Adobe Dreamweaver and Flash
While in high school, Michael Clayton wanted to be a Printmaker. In his second year of college he was introduced the computer and that quickly changed. He finished his BFA in Graphic Design at Utah State University and continued on to get his MFA in Interactive Design.
Michael is an Associate Professor in the Computer Graphic Arts department at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX, where he teaches foundations courses and leads the web courses in the Graphic Design track.
Before becoming an educator, Michael worked locally in Utah developing multimedia presentations, CD/DVD interface design, and website creation and development. In 2000, Michael received a Silver Telly and two Aegis Awards for his work on the SubInstructor® -- an interactive CD-Rom developed to instruct future substitute teachers in elementary education.
He was a co-author for the textbook "Visual Design Fundamentals: A Digital Approach" (Second Edition - 2006; Charles River Media).
Michael can often be found watching cartoons and playing video games with his four children, instead of doing what his wife asked him to do.
