Anne Powers - Cinema 4D Instructor

DMA Instructor Anne Powers

Courses

  • Introduction to 3D Modeling & Animation
  • Cinema 4D

Anne Powers is a traditional/digital artist, animator and teacher. She is an instructor in the Art Department at Roane State Community College in Tennessee where she teaches Cinema 4DXL, other digital applications and traditional media. She recently retired as Art Department Head and Director of Computer Art and Design to start her own production company, Anniemedia. She is currently writing a book for CMP Books on Cinema 4D, due out in fall 2004.

Her enthusiasm for 3D animation as the “ultimate creative high” is supported by a wide variety of experience in fine art, photography, digital art applications and teaching. She has been awarded the Outstanding Faculty Award and other teaching awards at her own college, and has received many awards in traditional/digital art including the American Watercolor Society Winsor Newton Award and the National Best of Show in the New York City Mac Users Group MacXibition.

“Since the birth of digital art in 1984, I have used and taught over 30 digital applications. Maxon Computer is hands down the most efficient software provider I have had the pleasure to work with. The powerful and elegant software design is supported by unsurpassed customer service. After teaching Cinema for several years, I am amazed at how quickly students are able to master software with so many features and make the “creative leap” using digital tools. Maxon and the lively user base continually add to the awesome digital toolbox with exciting products like BodyPaint and a super-cool array of plug-ins! I especially love BodyPaint because it makes it so easy to put painting and drawing to work in the 3D world in an intuitive way.”
