Course Overview
Continuing education for teachers integrating digital media technology into the classroom. The only course of its kind, this popular offering enables participants to learn the process of integrating National Educational Technology (NETS) standards with Science, Math, Language Arts and Social Studies Core curriculum standards at the national and state level.
Students will investigate the NETS unit framework, process and then create their own unit sequences specific to their curriculum area along with detailed lesson activities to support them. In addition students will learn how to create and assemble their digital course packs with Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional, Photoshop Elements, and Premier Elements. These lessons can be viewed and saved by anyone using the Free Adobe Reader.
Participants learn to create and re-purpose multimedia for lesson support, and integrate rich media from a variety of web sources. At the conclusion of the course student projects will be submitted to the ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) for inclusion in their national NETS Database.
