Course Description

This introductory class takes you step-by-step through the process of creating digital media in your classroom, your office or your home. The course is full of practical tips and tricks to help you maximize your creative talents and to avoid the pitfalls that can trip up those new to the digital world.

You’ll hone a wide variety of skills, learning how to take better digital still pictures and turn them into slideshows and books in iPhoto; improve your camerawork with a DV camcorder; and edit great videos in iMovie. You’ll apply all these techniques in creating a professional-looking DVD that will play on a home DVD player. Students are encouraged to bring their own cameras, both still and video, and any materials they would like to use their project.
