Adventures in Digital Movie Making & Special FX
Ages 9 - 13

Ever think about making your own movie? This is the course for you. Adventures in Digital Movie Making will teach you how to make a professional-quality movie. You will come up with your own story idea, write the script, shoot the movie, then edit the footage and burn it to a DVD. You will learn Hollywood camera and editing techniques that are used by industry professionals.

Everyone in the class will spend time as a director, lighting technician, camera operator, editor and DVD author. The curriculum is taken from a university film production course and customized to work with the different learning styles of students between the ages of 9-13. At the end of the week, students will screen their movies in an independent film festival environment. Upon completion of this course each student will walk away with the knowledge of what it takes to create a professional-looking movie.
