Hands-on Robotics & 3D Design for Teens
This hands-on course will immerse you in the exciting and popular world of robotics. As you build, program, and test a variety of LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT robots, you’ll explore topics like building sturdy structures, working with gears, and programming in NXT-G, the official programming language for NXT robots. You’ll learn how to plan and design NXT robots and even document them using CAD (computer-aided design). An exciting robotic sumo competition culminates the course and offers students the opportunity to work in small teams and create sumo-bots, a type of robot that pushes its opponent off an arena. This course will challenge you to think critically and work with others to solve problems.
