Hands-on Robotics & 3D Design for Teens

Design, build and program your own robots

This hands-on course will immerse you in the exciting and popular world of robotics. As you build, program, and test a variety of LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT robots, you’ll explore topics like building sturdy structures, working with gears, and programming in NXT-G, the official programming language for NXT robots. You’ll learn how to plan and design NXT robots and even document them using CAD (computer-aided design). An exciting robotic sumo competition culminates the course and offers students the opportunity to work in small teams and create sumo-bots, a type of robot that pushes its opponent off an arena.

This course will challenge you to think critically and work with others to solve problems. Whether you’re brand new to programming and robotics or an aspiring engineer, you’ll expand your knowledge while having an awesome time with classmates who share your interests.
