Response to Recent School Budget Cuts

DMA realizes that school budgets and the ability to offer training and professional development for faculty and staff has been greatly affected by the current economic conditions. In response we have partnered with Redrock Reports to put together a set of funding sources and grant application tools that schools and educators can use to secure money to attend DMA summer courses and/or bring DMA onsite for training and professional development.

We have created 4 tools, detailed below, that you can use to help locate funding sources and apply for grants for your teachers, staff and students.

Tool #1 – DMA Funding Matrix: [PDF Document]
The funding opportunities document is divided into two parts. Part I – Index of Funding Resources provides a list of potential federal, state and private grants that may be used to purchase Digital Media Academy product. Click on the titles in Part 1 to link to more detailed descriptions in Part 2 – The Funding Matrix.

Tool #2 – DMA Funding Assistance Document: [PDF Document]
This Funding Assistance Document assists grant seekers in understanding the requirements and disposition of federal, state and private funding sources. In this document, Digital Media Academy (DMA) focuses on two product lines: 1) Digital Media Academy Pro-Series – Professional Training and 2) Kids, Teens, and Summer Camp.

The alignment of Digital Media Academy product lines to funding sources is accomplished in two ways. First, key elements associated with the Digital Media Academy product lines are presented and can be used to align to funding sources. Secondly, the federal, state and private funding overviews provide key statements regarding the funding requirements and the ways that the Digital Media Academy product line is aligned to these statements.

Tools #3 & 4 – Grant Template for Pro Series (Adult/Educator) Courses and Grant Template for Kids/Teens Camps [PDF Documents]
The intent of these documents is to facilitate the writing of a grant application(s) by providing information that you can “cut-and-paste.” When applications require specific formats, these funding assistance documents provide core information to help you quickly complete the process.
