His entrepreneurship engagements include numerous early-stage angel funding cases and also later-stage private equity-based investments for large enterprises such as Grand Canyon University (Stock symbol: LOPE), Northcentral University, NCA/HLC accredited online universities, and Penn Foster College acquisition by The Princeton Review (Stock symbol: REVU). His recent international advisement cases include Saudi Arabia national online university initiative, institutional development for Universidad Tecnológica de El Salvador, and WASC accreditation for CETYS Universidad, Mexico, establishment of new science and technology university for the Sultanate of Oman, etc.
He taught courses on for-profit education space, e-learning, mobile learning, learning technology design, etc. at Stanford. His funded research projects include Programmable Open Mobile Internet (http://pomi.stanford.edu). He serves as an advisory commettee member for National Science Foundation. He published numerous academic journal articles around education technology, mobile learning, collective intelligence, inquiry-based learning, online education, 3D virtual reality, etc.
